On Tuesday, I helped my friend, Kim, of Sweet Sage Vintage
get some shelves from her storage and into Merchant Square,
where she is a dealer. It was fun playing around in the mall again.
I miss having a booth but I will live through her while I am in AZ!
Anyway, of course it cost me a few pennies. I found a couple of
treasures I could not leave at the mall. This sweet, chippy, child's desk
is one of them.
Just look at the chippiness.
You can't really and
truly fake this. Kim and I are wondering
what caused the stripes. Kim's idea was maybe
the desk top had been closed shut with tape.
Sweet decals on the edging of the back.
A view of the inside, with the lid lifted.
As you can see, I haven't even taken off
the ribbon which held the tag.
One last look at this sweet, sweet piece.
This is the second treasure I found...
Something with decals is just speaking to me lately.
I see another ribbon not removed!
A close up of the decal...
It is on both sides of the magazine rack.
This beauty was found at a Flea Market type event
that Kim wanted to check out.
I have never heard of this company...
Just look at all the glorious crazing..
Love it!
It is all over the piece.
I see another theme in what is speaking to me lately...
Roses
We

Hope you have a rosy day!

I see you are totally captured by decals. So 1950's! Love the desk, but not as fond of the messy paint as you are. Dianne
I know, Dianne, about the chippy paint...Good thing that we don't have the same taste...we won't fight when we are shopping! :)
chippy & crazy .. no better way to be!
