It Is Nearing

It is nearing the time for fireworks

It is nearing the click of glasses

It is nearing the midnight kiss

It is nearing the toasts of the new year

It is nearing the time for my eyes to grow heavy

It is nearing the next second in which I will continue to pray for my one and only daughter and for the emotional coping of our ten year old grandson who gratefully lies safely asleep in our home. We know not where she is, at the moment, and have no way of reaching her since her cell phone has been disconected. There is much more to this story, but for now it is enough to say -------
It is nearing the time to greater understand the value of living in the moment instead of fearing the future.

I Have Decided

I have decided to open the door to my blogging again. I might blog just one sentence and then again I might blog a book.

I have decided my blog does not have to be wonderful. Sometimes it will be and sometimes it won't--just like the me that I am.

I have decided I will share all of my world, the good, the bad and the ugly. I will also share the beautiful.

I have decided some of my greatest inspiration is from my heart. My heart needs to have a place to just be-----

I have decided to try to visit some of my blog friends, at least once a week. I know if it does not happen my friends will forgive me, for missing my time with them.

I have decided there is valid reason for my sadness right now. Sharring who I am has always been, for me, one of my virtues. I have never been one to hide the dirty laundry.

I have decided to recognize that each year represents new beginnings as does each day.

I have decided to wish myself a happy day this 31st of December and a Happy New Year come midnight.

I have decided to wish the same blessing for you----the human friend that is reading this blog at this very moment.

Finally!

It has been some time since my last post. It might be some time again before my next. Life is full of endeavors and events which give us opportunities to stretch our imagination. My imagination is entangled with realities and it is a time of figuring out the difference. I have been meaning to post the wedding pictures for a very long time. Funny, as I looked through them, I have not one picture of the bride and groom to post for you. This is due to my husband banning me from using my camera during the ceremony and then my having so much fun at the reception that pictures were far and in-between. There is a picture of the wedding ring on the bride's hand. See if you can see something different about the picture. Anyway, sometimes I spend a vast amount of time organizing the pictures with captions to tell the story. Sometimes life is not organized at all. It is one of those times in my life so I decided I would just post the pictures and move on to the future. The prompt to do this was the arrival of a website from Ezra J Scott. Seems this little one will be joining the happy couple in a few months. There is a son on the way!
Post Script:
I am blessed to have many wonderful people surround my life. I am missing visiting many of you. I will be traveling to see you again, sooner than later I hope. I am also extremely blessed to have a beautiful ( he would want me to describe him as hot!) grandson. This grandson is giving his grandfather and me many sweet, tender, sad and happy moments, as we hopefully shelter him under our grandparent wings. The best part is I am old enough to know we will all be flying steadily again and our wounded hearts will heal. Blessings to each of you as we enter this season of Thanksgiving!

Bridesmaids Luncheon

It must have taken a long time for us to fix the quiche!

How long has it been now, since I posted the rehearsal pictures?!

Take a look at the box. It will hold the cards and greetings brought to the wedding. Wouldn't this make a lovely present to give to a bride and groom or for any kind of shower. Bet we could all come up with some pretty amazing altered boxes! Susi, aunt of the groom ,created this one for the couple, Jared and Beth.
Can you tell what the flower theme for the wedding might be?!

Special Table for the Little Ones

Now, I thought you might enjoy a short tour of part of the setting-
I know I just love visiting other people's homes.

This is the home that goes with the barn!

As Promised

We will start with the rehearsal dinner of the TN wedding-
The setting for the rehearsal dinner-the barn of the groom's brother-beautiful, isn't it?!

Max, the barn's mascot.
A funny side story about Max. He is an outside dog but don't feel too sorry for him. He has his own air conditioned dog house. Unfortunately, once the dog house was air conditioned, Max would not go in the house again. He is terribly afraid of the noise the air conditioner makes. He does have friends in the neighborhood that come over to hang out with him.

Preparation begins-
Look at the cute check floor of the barn's party room.
Jonathon, groom's brother, Brooke, sister-in-law, Shelby, daughter of Jonathon and Brooke, and my dear friend , Suzanne, mother of the groom.

Shelby decides it is time to play. Her preparation work has ended.
The tables are set

Speaking of sunflowers!

One of my favorite pictures- the party room is through the window.Noah, nephew of the groom and Shelby's brother, parties down!

Yum, the chin shows the drips of deliciousness!

Cutest barn bath I've ever seen!
Another happy, memorable memory made for us.

Time to say goodnight!
