The Reason

For My Grief
Oldest boy is worrying about stock market and economy-
Youngest boy is dealing with a very nasty break up of parents.

For My Joy
Both boys, regardless of their life concerns, still enjoy my cooking-
notice the scramble eggs the younger one is showing off in his mouth.
I am the typical Southern woman in that I know the warmth of a tummy full of home cooked viddles-
I am not the typical Southern woman in so many other ways-
I am the typical human in that the same things I love are also the same things that irritate me-
I care for both parents of this child but I am the typical grandparent in that I am most concerned about this precious boy. I don't know how not to be typical when it comes to the love for a grandchild.
Thank you to all for the hugs, thoughts and concern.
I truly am grateful.

The View From Here

My husband , after our nap, suggested we take a walk or a drive to see the aspens. I opted for the second choice. Below are the pictures we took grasping the beauty.

My husband, practicing his fly fish casting-
He has his second lesson tomorrow-

Even in the dumps of life there is beauty, if only one looks-

Don't you love the color of the porta pottys agains the turning yellow of the Aspens?!

Beautiful Light

I have many lovely pictures to post: (Where are they?, you say! Right now they are behind my concerned face)

A beautiful wedding in TN--- all lovely pictures of the hope and happiness of a new beginning

Other lovely things---those of which, at the moment, slip my mind.

Mike, my guru of blogging, warned us about posting after drinking------there were no warnings about posting during family confusion, questions, and heartaches---

Besides, I have always worn my heart on my sleeve. My mother has always told me she can tell immediately if a present pleases me---my eyes light up, and well---when one's eyes light up, it tends to mean their heart has been excited ---and simply put----the body lights up.

I have said in the past I would post if I was serious about a heartache and not just writing a spoof--

I am serious---my husband and I have aching hearts for members of our family --- not willing to share with the world the circumstances at the moment--- ( Don't worry, I am a blabber mouth and willing to tell all at the appropriate moment--just trying to learn when the appropriate moment is--) I just wanted to say hello and let those who occasionally check in, with my small little corner of n your dreams world, know you are not forgotten, just the contrary----I am dreaming of when I will be posting more---and knowing, not just dreaming, that I am GRATEFUL ( even though, I must admit, I have to remind myself every now and then to be grateful ) for ALL things in my life, be them happy or sad. If there is anything I am absolutely sure of, regardless of my understanding or beliefs, or anyone else's understanding or beliefs, is ALL things work together and God loves us ALL----- and life is full of beautiful light. We all just have to choose to see the light, all of the time, even through the darkness.

Grocery Store Fall In Middle Tennessee

The below pictures are straight from a plain ole TN grocery store. Did I really just say plain ole? Nothing plain about this display. I have been home to AZ for just a couple of days. I have been busting my fingers working on product for my business. I just could not stand it any longer. I had to post and let you know I am smelling the fall flowers. I plan to search for grocery store fall in AZ. I hope I find some. Back to work so I can play more. Taking an acrylic overlay painting class at Mystic Paper this evening with Sandy. We were in the first ever blogging class together. I am excited to be seeing some familiar faces and learn some unfamiliar things. Till later--Happy Fall, Y'all, as of September 21st.

Where Have I Been? TEXAS
What Did I Do There? 1. Stayed in an inexpensive ( alright, it was cheap) motel with lots of hurricane people seeking refuge.
2. Was grateful we were there by choice and not necessity. ( I am saving my $ for mixed media supplies!
3. Visited with Randy's 90 year old aunt and took her out to eat. Since we took her out to eat I decided I might as well eat also. Yum. Had a Toffee Sticky Pudding that stuck to my ribs and mind.
4. About had a heart attack when I had an email message wanting me to call to confirm shipping orders for my new camera. I had paid for 2 day air to have it arrive in TN for a Sept. sixth wedding. Got it taken care of and they agreed to overnight the camera.
4.Flew to TN

Where Am I Now?TN
What Am I Doing?1. Posting after spending the past few days in an at home wedding ( the home where I am staying) glorious state of wedding mania. Roses were the flowers and they were gorgeous. You will be seeing these in future picture postings.
2. Visited two of my favorite stores today and did not purchase a thing!
3. Spoke briefly to my daughter and grandson back in AZ/
4. Husband Randy left for AZ home today. Kitty, Sammy was very happy to have him home.
5. I am posting late just to say hello. There is not wireless in this house and I struggle enough on my computer much less someone else's! Letting you know the camera did indeed arrive. My dear husband read enough to get me started and there will be many pictures to post. Just between you and me, to my surprise, Randy, dear husband, purchased a photography magazine to read on his flight home. He might catch the photography bug. Yippee!

Where Will I Be? Here, in TN, for another week.
What Will I Be Doing? Looking at lovely old homes, visiting antique stores, eating southern cooking, hopefully visiting some mixed media stores, and talking and sharing with my dear friends. I will also be missing my husband some but will be grateful and happy that he is waiting on me in my now home state of AZ. Most importantly, I will be smiling and laughing a lot----what I consider to be equal to heaven on earth. I hope each of you who visits will be doing much of the same.

Off To A Couple Of T States

I have not forgotten about sharing the award---- It will get done--sharing is one of my favorite things to do in life, anyway.

Here are a couple to get you started. The favorite of my life is of course---. http://www.sweetsagevintage.blogspot.com/

We signed up for the blog class at Mystic Paper and took the class with four other awesome bloggers, all of which are linked on Mystic Paper's blog site.

The next one is one I doubt any of you have found and it tickles me to give you one that might be new to you. I found this site the very first time I was looking at blogs and I was as excited as finding the sugar sticks, maybe more so. I was blown away by this person's creativity in the sewing field and was loving looking at all her creations. Then low and behold where is she located? Belgrade, Serbia-----exactly where my brother and my sister-in-law are living. Amazing world, amazing technology, amazing love for this thing called blogging---visit her at http://likeflowersandbutterflies.blogspot.com/

Off to Texas tomorrow to check on Randy's 90 year old aunt for whom we are responsible.

Off to Tennessee from Texas to check on my dear friend Suzanne and attend her youngest son's wedding. The youngest son, Jared, with me a couple of year's ago. His bride is much younger and much prettier. Will be showing you some of the wedding pictures later. This wedding is scheduled for outside in their beautiful yard--I should say grounds--not like the yards here in our AZ sunshine. The event is next Saturday evening so we are hoping the approaching hurricane does not wreak havoc on the festivities. Anyway, I am taking my computer but not sure about posting. I will be checking up on all of you when I am able and I do hope to say hello every now and then.
BUT here is the exciting news. I finally ordered the Nikon D80 and bought a package deal with case and lenses, etc. I paid extra money to have it air shipped to TN. Don't know if my hubby or I will figure out how to take a single shot while there but he and I both decided it worth the money to have it there just in case. I don't know if I am more excited about getting the camera or that I finally stopped researching and looking for the best deal! From my recent posts you all know this technical stuff gives me the weebie jeebies so don't hold your breath waiting for the first pictures. However, thanks again, Mike Puttman, of http://www.jackandcatcurio.blogspot.com/ for the pat on the back. Maybe it will help me cough a few better posts up sometime in the future.
Once more off to bed to dream.
By the way, did anybody notice I figured out how to link? This was learned last night when I was looking for my lost post. Wish it was actually harder than just looking at the choices across the top of the board. But hey, for me it is something learned! Even the small learnings are to be celebrated.
